The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new set of EU-wide rules coming into effect on May 25, 2018. For example, one million euros or two percent of global turnover — whichever amount is higher — have been issued as maximum administrative penalties under GDPR law for non-compliance with critical provisions.
