To become a Padin Instructor, you must complete the PADI Divemaster course. Once you have completed your Divemaster training, you can apply for the Instructor Development Course (IDC). The IDC is divided into the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructors (OWSI) program.

The AI course is the first step in your Padi training. During this course, you will learn how to teach Padi courses and gain experience teaching in a classroom and pool environment. Once you have completed the AI course, you can assist Instructors with their classes.

The OWSI program is the second part of your training. During this program, you will complete comprehensive training on all aspects of being an Instructor. Upon completing the OWSI program, you will be issued a PADI Instructor Certification.
