When people think about supporting charities and nonprofit groups, they often think it means donating money. While many of these foundations and organizations do need as much funding as they can get, there are other ways to help support them. For example, if you’re interested in working with a children’s charity, you can become a volunteer or you can donate some clothing or other supplies. Support a child charity with volunteer work whenever there’s a fundraiser or an event. You’ll feel great about the help you can provide, and you’ll be doing them a great service.
Being charitable does not require vast financial resources. You can volunteer your time and your talents as well. Find out what your favorite charity needs, and be willing to help out. Maybe you can sell tickets for a raffle they’re holding or drum up support for their next big event.
