Every Early Learning Centre design is unique. The Centre designers have to consider the needs of children, teachers, and parents when they create a new Early Learning Centre. But no matter what an Early Centre looks like on the inside, there are some elements that every Early Education center should include:
Indoor and outdoor play areas, multi-age classrooms.
Places for adults to work with children, such as kitchenettes or computer stations.
Clear signage.
How does this work?
Indoor and outdoor play areas: Young children need plenty of space to run around, explore, and play. Indoors, they need room to move around without bumping into furniture or other children. Outdoors need a safe place to play where they can get some exercise.
Multi-age classrooms: For young children to learn from one another, they must be in classrooms with students of different ages. This allows them to experience different stages of development and learn from their classmates.
Places for adults to work with children: Centers have spaces where adults can work with small children on projects or help them with their schoolwork. We hope this information has been helpful to you.
