When we think of food, we think of it as something that keeps us alive or something that satisfies a craving. We rarely think of Food as Medicine. However, in reality, food is a sort of natural medicine because eating right can prevent and heal many health elements without the use of conventional medicine. Conventional medicine has many side effects while food rarely causes any adverse reactions unless you eat something you are allergic to.

To reap the benefits that come along with eating well, you need to eat the right foods. Foods rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber have many benefits. You’ll also benefit by eating less sugary and packaged foods and more fruits and vegetables. Drinking lots of water can also have a drastic positive effect on overall health.

While eating well may not be a complete cure-all, it certainly helps a lot and it helps even more when it’s combined with a healthy dose of sleep, positivity and exercise.
