Home tips are as plentiful as there are people. Currently, there several billion people on the planet and there are just as many tips for taking better care of your home. I learned years ago that white vinegar was a good cleaning substance if you want to avoid using harsh chemicals.

Baking soda is good for scrubbing a sink basin as the small particles will create tension against the porcelain and scrub it clean. Baking soda can also be used to deodorize a refrigerator. As food begins to spoil even while being kept cold, their odors begin to circulate and when the refrigerator door opens, whoosh escapes those odors unless you’re using baking soda to neutralize it.

Saving money on utilities is an issue with most families. Gas furnaces may be more expensive to run in your region. You may want to keep your thermostat low for the gas heat and add electric space heaters to get the room to a more comfortable setting.
