He achieved this feat playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore RCB, where he has played since 2008 and led them to three finals appearances. His consistency over the years has seen him become one of the greatest batsmen ever to play in any form of cricket, let alone IPL.
Kohli’s closest rivals are Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma with 5368 and 4898 respectively. Both have had impressive careers at their respective teams Chennai Super Kings CSK and Mumbai Indians MI. Raina made his debut as a youngster back in 2008 while Sharma is one of MI’s longest-serving players having been part of their team since 2011.
