Who Is George Friedman?

George Friedman was born in Hungary in 1949 to parents that survived the Holocaust by emigrating to America. He completed a Bachelor’s degree at the City College of the University of New York and a doctorate in government at Cornell University.

Since then he has become an internationally known forecaster of geopolitics and a well-known strategist on international affairs. He has written many books with his most popular being ‘The Next 100 Years’ which managed to predict many of the geopolitical upheavals that have occurred since its publication. His most recent pronouncements suggest that the coming decade in the US will result in dramatic social upheaval as well as a fundamental reshaping of the US government and its foreign and economic policies.

As well as being a New York Times bestselling author (whose books have been translated into over 20 languages), he has briefed numerous military and government bodies in the United States and around the world on foreign policy, national intelligence and international affairs.
