Natural Wine Is A Wine Made In The Traditional Way

All wine making has to go through two processes. Growing and picking of grapes is the first one, and then the second is turning these picked grapes in to wine through fermentation. What is natural wine?

It is wine that is made from grapes that have been grown naturally, without the use of any fertilizer of pesticide. Some winemakers of this type of wine go even further and insist that their grapes are picked by hand, without the use of any machines. For the fermentation, use is made of natural yeast, and it is often in the air and will find its way onto grapes if they are left exposed long enough. No additives are used in the making of this wine, though some winemakers will add a small quantity of sulfites, and will add it just before the wine is bottled.

Natural wine without sulfites is called zero zero, and is just pure naturally fermented grape juice.
